Lance William Reed

Lance William Reed, age 24, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Tamarack Health in Hayward, WI.  He was born on May 7, 1999 in Hayward, WI, the son of William Clay Reed and Luayne Lisa Licciardone. 

Lance was the manager of the frozen and dairy departments of Marketplace Foods in Hayward.  He loved baseball, playing for the Hayward Hurricanes in high school and passionately following his beloved Minnesota Twins.  He was also an avid gamer.  Lance was a very kind and generous soul and both honest and trustworthy.  He was everyone’s favorite designated driver and a great example for everyone in his family.  Lance loved his family very much and was a wonderful uncle to all his nieces and nephews. 

He is survived by his parents, William (Annie Gillmor) Reed of Hayward and Luayne Licciardone of Hayward; his siblings, James Ryan Wehrman of Hayward, Brett Michael Wehrman of Eau Claire, Elizabeth Ashley (T.J.) Reed of Stevens Point, and Cassandra Anne Reed of Hayward; his grandmothers, Joyce (Alan Taylor) Reed and Beverly Licciardone; his nieces and nephews, Ty, Brady, Nia, Kingsley and Levi (on the way); his aunt and uncle, Judy Wahl and Rudolph Licciardone; his dear cousin, Lea Licciardone; his large and dear extended family; and his special friends, Dakota, Justin and Trevor.

Lance is preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Reed Sr. and Rudolph Licciardone; and his great-grandparents, Wayne and Ruth Byers and Louis and Gloria Licciardone.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Hayward Wesleyan Church, 10655 Nyman Avenue in Hayward, where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.  Pastor Charlene Pearson will officiate.  Interment will be held privately.
